|
STEAM CLEANING |
This is a good all around hot alkaline
extraction system. Recommended for carpets that are lightly soiled and
have been maintained. This will remove all the loose soil between
the carpet fibers. For normal cleaning, actual drying time will vary but
should be between 6-14 hours. |
|
DELUXE CLEANING |
This is the preferred method for cleaning
wool & Berber carpets, and also very thick & plush carpets. The carpet is
first pre-spotted with a general pre-spotting agent were needed, to help
dissolve normal spotting. The carpet is then preconditioned with a high
level surfactant to help loosen and dislodge ground in soil. The carpets
are then shampooed using a rotary scrubber with soft nylon bristles that
are especially formulated for carpet fibers. This cleans the carpet. The
carpets are then rinsed out using the steam extraction process.
This is a very good cleaning system that is in fact two systems, the
rotary shampoo and the steam extraction. The rotary scrubber is actually
what does the cleaning by providing the agitation on all sides of the
carpet fibers to dislodge ground in soil. This is also superior for
carpets that have heavy traffic lanes, lots of spots & spills, or for
carpets that have not been professionally cleaned in 12 months or longer. |
| QUICK DRY |
This is a bonnet type cleaning that
employs an aggressive surface pad to agitate and capture soil that is
released using a rotary buffer and a solvent based cleaner that is
formulated to mix with water as a surfactant. The advantage of this system
is that the carpet fibers are dry within 30 minutes. |
| DELUXE-PLUS |
This type of cleaning is mainly used
on carpets that require a restoration type process to bring the carpet
back to standards. This is usually required when a carpet has not been
maintained, or the extant of the soil is such that to attempt removal
would require additional chemical treatments. This type of process can
include varying types of treatments depending on the degree of soil,
staining and fiber degeneration.
A carpet that cannot be fully cleaned using the standard services is
considered to be in need of restorative type of cleaning. This process is
the most expensive and can be avoided by regular maintenance of your
carpet. |
| RINSE |
This is an after cleaning step that uses an
acetic solution to rinse residue out of a carpet, or any high alkaline
agent that may have been used to clean the carpet. This treatment is also
used on wool & Berber carpets to prevent, yellowing, browning, or
streaking of the carpet. It is also used to remove build up of residue,
which causes carpets to re-soil rapidly after cleaning. Residue is a
dried chemical agent that was used to either clean or spot clean carpets.
If the agents are not rinsed out properly, they dry & become residue and
attract dirt because they are sticky. Cleaning the carpet will not remove
residue. It has to be rinsed out with an acetic solution to properly
remove it. |
| SANITIZING |
Sanitizing is the process of
removing odor producing bacteria, mold & mildew. This process is used to
make the carpet safe and sanitary by removing and curbing the growth of
unhealthy bacteria in the carpet. It should not be confused with
deodorizing, which is only a masking agent to make the cleaning solution
have a pleasant fragrance while it is being used and the carpet is
drying. A deodorizer will not remove or prevent the growth of bacteria.
Sanitizing is for carpets that have
been contaminated by such things as,
-
URINE
-
FECES
-
SEWAGE
-
MOLD AND MILDEW
For Carpets that have been
contaminated on the surface, it is necessary to treat all of the surfaces
to completely sanitize the carpet, the backside of the carpet, the padding
and the sub floor. |

ORIENTAL & AREA RUGS |
Orientals &
area rugs are cleaned differently than wall-to-wall carpeting.
Due to the
fact that they are not tacked down and that they may have fringes, or are
wool and as in the case of Eastern made rugs, they may have used vegetable
dyes instead of colorfast dyes as is common in the Western world, they are
very, very delicate and have to be handled in a much-controlled
environment.
They cannot
withstand the high temperatures and high alkaline detergents that we use
in the homes and also need to have humidity controlled room.
That is why
we clean then at our plant and offer free Pickup and Delivery |

FILTRATION LINE CLEANING |
A filtration line is the dirty line
that you see on the carpet along the walls of your room.
This dirty
line represents a challenge for some, but we at Allstar can improve the
filtration line so that it can blend in with the rest of the carpet.
A
filtration line is an accumulation of dirt and oils that is missed when
you vacuum because the actual brush of the vacuum only gets to about an
inch and a half from the wall. Through time, it develops a build up, and
if left too long, it can cause permanent damage to the fibers of the
carpet.
Frequent
vacuuming using the crevice tool of your cleaner and periodic cleaning
will help to keep your carpet looking clean wall-to-wall. |

WHICH
METHOD IS BEST FOR YOU? |

STEAM CLEANING |
DRY CLEANING |
ROTARY
SHAMPOO |

BONNET CLEANING |
TRUCK MOUNT |
PORTABLE UNITS |
|
The best
method to clean your carpet depends upon a number of factors. You will
hear different answers from carpet cleaners; usually they recommend the
system that they employ.
The good
news is that Allstar is not constrained to just one system of cleaning; we
employ all of the four major methods of cleaning. The type of
method that we recommend depends on the conditions of your carpet, and
most important, your budget.
We use
truck mounts (where all of the machinery, pumps, vacuums, heaters, are
enclosed in the truck), portable units, (all of the components are placed
in a movable unit and is brought in the home), and we also use walk
behinds for commercial applications.
Whatever
system we use, they are all industrial built to be used by certified
technicians only. We use
major brands of chemicals that are designed for use in you home. They are
environment safe & biodegradable.
But, no
matter how good the system or how powerful the chemical; it is only as
good as the technician.
