This is not a pretty thing. If you
have ever had your basement or any room flood with water, you know how
messy and smelly this could be.
The area is first de-flooded to
remove as much water as possible. The wet areas are then sprayed or fogged
with an EPA approved disinfectant, then mildew and spore retardant is
applied to prevent new mold and mildew from forming.
Mold and mildew form in a damp and
dark environment, (the padding, sub floor, and the backside of the
carpet). It is important that floors are treated as soon as possible
to prevent any further damage. Once mold and mildew take hold, they will
destroy your carpet and furnishings.
You can be assured that a certified
crew in water damage restoration will make all the difference in the world
in preventing your furnishings from being damaged to the point where they
cannot be salvaged.
This is not the time to be
a ‘ dollar wise and a penny foolish’.
A job of this magnitude is best left
to a professional that is certified in water damage restoration or you
will easily spend more to replace your furnishings than you will to have
it restored!
We have the means and the equipment
to handle such emergencies, such as Heavy Duty Turbo fans, Industrial Area
Dehumidifiers, and chemicals that are applied to fabrics without damaging
them. |
